Butterick 2504 Demure & Feminine Drawstring Blouse / ca. 1943

I couldn't take the lonely house anymore and my husband (the sweetest guy in the world!) encouraged me to get another kitty.  It was barely 2 weeks and I kept feeling like there was a cat or cats out there at our local Humane Society that might be saved so off we went.  There were no kittens (which actually wasn't what I was looking for I wanted an adult that is so much harder to place) and we visited with several that were very sweet but then we were directed to a small greeting room where two cats were.  One was an 8 month old boy (fixed, all shots, trapped and turned in but definitely was not feral) and a 5 year old female (fixed, all shots, declawed who was turned in because a woman's new husband hated cats - how awful!).  They got along great and we fell in love with them.  Olive (aka Olive the Meek) the girl kitty is so sweet, quiet and shy She's slowly coming out of her shell and her love of hidey holes, purring like crazy and loves to be petted and talked to, but Tobey (aka Tobey the Terrible) is an active active active boy.  Loves to snuggle and play and we have to throw lots of balls and toys and keep him going so he sleeps at night LOL.  I miss my Little Girl terribly but feel so good about saving these two cats and know that I love them "differently."  Note Olive is inside a pillowcase!  How cute is that.  It took me a while to find her - grin.

Tobey also has blue eyes, very faint orange markings with a creamy color coat.  Really beautiful.  Olive is a deep grey and feels like a chinchilla when you pet her.

Okay - featured pattern today is this Butterick 2504 Demure & Feminine Drawstring Blouse / ca. 1943 and this is oh so pretty.

I've gotten a big stash of 70's patterns and more on the way!  Here is one I had a while back and there are more sizes coming if this isn't working for you.  McCall's 3060 Hippie Jumpsuit "Sunsuit" & Overskirt + Applique 1971

I always hesitate to overbuy from sellers online that I haven't dealt with before so I got a couple of her lots and the quality and care she took in shipping was impressive.  She had acquired boxes of patterns from the 70's from someone who had owned a sewing store.  Bonus!

Simplicity 6601 Young at Heart Jacket & Dress 1974 (another one I've had before) and that jacket just pops out at me.  More on the way.  I keep all my picture scans on an external hard drive& have an online backup. When I get a pattern I used to have it makes it so quick to put it back into stock.

Simplicity 7213 High Waisted Country Dress 1975 - remember the "Granny Dress" style?  I loved that hippie look and it was so comfortable too.
