McCall's 7728 Thrilling Keyhole Neckline Dress with Two Skirts 1965 - one of the few patterns that I prefer the full skirt over the slim skirt.  The pleating around the waistline makes it fall beautifully - hope it would turn out that good when it is made.  Can't go wrong with a keyhold neckline either.  Just a little peek -

Trying to figure out what to do next week.  Hmmmm.  Mother in law returning 11 p.m. Monday night in Phoenix, AZ.  I will leave very early Monday and go shopping at all the thrift stores in town and then pick her up.  Stay overnight - come home early Tuesday.  I'll have to get the mail ready to ship on Sunday and new listings in Sunday night and then not post or mail on Tuesday.  Okay that's the plan .....

Featured new is another of those odd patterns I recently got from Joni:  Park Bench Pattern Company No. 20 Woodstock Vest Top & Skirt 1995 - really like this one.  It says the top is a "vest" but what the heck.  Great little top or a vest.

Vogue 6468 Go Go Dancer Bathing Suit & Cover-Up / ca. 1965 a very rare pattern indeed and very sought after too.  You can see why!  At first I thought this was a lingerie set - duh.  The bikini reminds me of one I had in the 60's when I was in high school - 

I'm putting in two "new" patterns today because they are unique and not the same old same old pattern makers.  The first is:

Park Bench Pattern Company No. 14 Jiggy Swing Jacket or Blouse 1995 and read the extra picture wording.  Sounds like a great project.

The second is:

Triple Play # 323 Ethnic Tailored Shirt, Vest & Skirt 1998 a very attractive outfit that looks comfortable too.

When researching for listing today for some reason this "How to Make a Frock Coat" link came up.  No idea why but the title intrigued me.  The site has info and ideas on how to recreate costumes and more.  Interesting.

Featured new is Vogue 9623 Smooth Jacket, Skirt & Pants 1997 and the jacket is the key to this one. Plain view C is blah.  Same old same old.  But the A and B views rock.  A "pull thru" drape makes a plain jacket fancy.

Simplicity 3712 Super Skirt, Weskit & Stole / ca. 1951 an uncut absolutely darling outfit!  That poor envelope has seen better days though.

Taking the MIL to the airport in Phoenix-Mesa this morning (her plane leaves at 5 p.m.) and will get to go to a few of my favorite thrift stores in all the world - Savers.  Probably won't do a post tomorrow and may not even get patterns in - all depends on how late I get home.  Note to self - take an ice chest with lots of water!

Featured new so caught my eye that when I researched it for pricing and information I found a few others and bought them up to fill in a sizing gap.  I should have them in about a week so if you love this dress and it's not your size just wait a week and check back.

Simplicity 1716 "Graceful Empire Line" Dress & Jacket /ca. 1956 a style that makes me want to twirl in circles on a sidewalk until I get dizzy and fall down.  That wouldn't take long because when I even look at a merry-go-round and I get nauseated. 

 I just had an email from one of my customers who is very brave and has made some really old patterns.  She had a question about care of old and fragile patterns and I thought that the Pattern Rescue site might be worth posting here too.  For those of you who not only sew but keep the old patterns they have alot of good info for care and repair.

I will be listing late Sunday night for Monday and then skipping Tuesday unless I get lucky.  The Mother-In-Law is going to visit some friends in Canada and I take her to the airport in Phoenix on Monday.  It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive so that will be a long day.

Two featured vintage patterns today.  Couldn't decide!  McCall's 5884 European Holiday Dress - with Belled Skirt 1961 and McCall 7067 Amazing Blouse - Figure Hugging & Back Buttoning 1947.  Could you decide?

Last week was an awesome week for finding some fabulous 40's thru 60's patterns.  I am actually ahead for once.  After going to SoCal for my sister's wedding on July 3rd and then spending the 4th there as well I came home and had to face a major catch up phase.

My sister's wedding to Richard and the party that followed will go high on list of "best parties" ever.  The best party ever was actually Richard's 50th birthday party two years ago.  The wedding went off flawlessly.  I gave my sister away and Richard's daughter Katie gave her dad away.  I only cried once.

Had to make a serious business decision early this week.  Sadly I am unable to continue shipping free to Canada with the purchase of 3 or more patterns.  Costs in so many areas have gotten too high and I have cut back in many ways without affecting the quality or care in shipping.  My apologies to my many Canadian customers - this was done with much soul searching and sadness.  The rest of shipping both here and international remain the same.  Here is a link to the new shipping fees to Canada:  Shipping Link

Featured new is:  Butterick 3142 Willowy Shaped Bodice Dress 1993 - which I picture using a "velvet" type fabric.  This dress has such a classy drape to it - I think it will look lovely with any type figure and will hide flaws while accentuating the positive.
