Butterick 4487 Simply Irresistible Dress with Cowl Collar 1960's not quite a tented dress and those side seam pockets a little bit "hidden" - one of the hard to find Butterick Boutiques patterns.

A fun article in our local paper on Sunday about a Yuma club called the Dangerous Dames who are 50's rockabilly fans who recreate their favorite era.   What a fun idea!

I read in the paper on Saturday about The Weather Channel special about Yuma, AZ the sunniest spot in the US (their words!) which aired on Saturday night.  We Tivo'd it of course.  So last night my hubby and I are snuggled in bed watching it and enjoying it and all of a sudden one of our friends pops up!  The sneak.  He was featured in the section about the Imperial Sand Dunes (you know it as "Glamis" from our trips) and he was interviewed and also filmed.  Our chins hit our chests.  This morning on Facebook our friend posted a little note asking how we liked the show.  Very Sneaky Dan!

Featured new pattern is:  Simplicity 2641 Gotta Dance Flippy Skirt 2009 which makes me wish I had a fiesta to go to.

I've come across some very old Ladies' Home Journal magazines from the late 1800's.  Went thru one yesterday which I listed today.
Ladies' Home Journal / Vintage Fashion Magazine / October 1899 just filled with fashion, articles and recipes.  More to come!
